To WWII "WHAT IF" Battlecruiser Fans--We would like to proudly announce the release of our 1/350 USN Modernized Lexington-class Battlecruiser Model Kits!
We offer four different hypothesized design options for the modernized Lexington-class battlecruiser, featuring both early-war and late-war appearances. Model Fun Shipyard, the designer of these kits, conducted extensive research on WWII battleship design history and actively engaged with warship experts on the well-known forum www.modelwarships.com to refine and adjust these novel "WHAT IF" kits, making them both logical and convincing.
About the four Designs:
Design A: A hypothetical refit of the Lexington class as it could have appeared on the day of Pearl Harbour. Design A has a bulged hull.
Design B: Same as Design A, but does NOT have a bulged hull.
Design C: A hypothetical modernization of the Lexington class, as it could have appeared in late World War II, following the lines of the original Colorado/Maryland modernizations.
Design D: A complete hypothetical reconstruction following the lines of the West Virginia/Tennessee class rebuilds as it could have appeared in late World War II. This design has a wider bulged hull which was no longer restricted to Panamax criteria,
